For the community of community owners, operators, moderators, and members: we need better options, and I believe we need them to exist on open platforms. We all have different tastes and we all use different tools, but I think we all can accept that community software should help us grow and flourish.

These include the iCub , which runs on an open source software platform found here , and open source robotics competition entries , with participants from all around the world.

Now, one of the more interesting new open source robots is Qbo (shown), a Linux-based robot from the folks at thecorpora.com
