Do you feel like Microsoft is trying to make Vista so secure that it will cause people to use Linux instead?

Vista treats every one the same, example: Your an Idiot and Vista knows better, I am beta testing Vista and I get annoyed after trying to install a program, getting asked twice if I am sure I really want to let it install, there are many different anoyances like that. I emailed Microsoft and asked them if the would add a Prefesional mode for people who know what they are doing to unlock certain systems but I doubt they’ll listen. I mean the Last time I needed training wheels on anything I was 5, so why is Microsoft giving us an OS with training wheels?

More Bad English, Please

I’d like to see more bad English on mailing lists, and fewer apologies from non-native speakers about their poor English skills. There’s nothing to be ashamed of in trying to communicate in a second, third, or fourth language and not being an expert. And it’d be a shame if non-native speakers let fear or embarrassment hold them back from making a vital contribution or asking a question that could help them succeed in contributing or using FLOSS tools

Now, wireless energy management startup People Power has released its software developer’s kit called SuRF (Sensor Ultra Radio Frequency) for OSHAN (Open Source Home Area Network). Using SuRF, developers can create applications that run over People Power’s open source-based wireless system , which can connect home fixtures and appliances and transmit energy data to a web-based portal.
