Is that why when I load iTunes it crashes right after it loads?

  3. devo85x says:

I have seen iTunes work in Wine and there are better linux alternatives anyways…

  4. ImageJPEG says:

iTunes and the Zune software are not compatibility in Wine…just to let you know.

linux is amazing, i’ve been using it for 2 years now and am happy to report that i will never go back to windows again.

  6. hornerm5 says:

I used PCLinuxOS for almost two years and still have no problem with it.

My last version of Windows I last used is Windows ME. That was the last payment on Windows.

Funny that microsoft feels enough heat to even put out something like that. Let the lemmings all keep windows, it keeps the people with the linux knowledge getting paid. I don’t know how many times I’ve been called to a cubicle to retrieve a deleted or lost file from a crashed windows machine.. pop in a Backtrack 3 USB, boot it up and recover everything in 2 minutes and save the day and pretend like I’m a super-genious.

  8. devo85x says:

Kind of funny that you post this comment on the video of a linux user :) I do admit, linux sucks for gaming, but for pretty much everything else, I like it (and I have been using it for 3 years)

  9. tincho81 says:

MS shouldn’t even bother doing that. Anyone that tries Linux long enough (and I mean a year or so) will find out that Linux is the wost OS ever, and it will never be any better b/c of its “philosophy” of “being open”.

  10. 11100shiny says:

just a comment on the most compatible version of windows line of crap…

why would they need the “windows 7 ready” logo if its so compatible? with pre-vista windows versions it was a guarantee it will work unless it’s stated otherwise

  11. BrodyMMMMMMMMMM says:

Mmm…. I have my Linux Mint 7 install CD, but I didn’t like it. Dual booting Ubuntu and Xubuntu, using BackTrack 3, and going to use Fedora later, if I feel like it…

  12. Exarian says:

BS! Adobe offers a photoshop version designed for linux… google put them up to it!

  13. Exarian says:

Linux Mint is great. think Ubuntu, only even more complete and compatible with video and audio codecs, and a full suite of programs built in.

  14. Exarian says:

this makes me rage… so hard…

  15. devo85x says:

have you looked up drivers from the community?

  16. devo85x says:

Of Linux? You can just use Ubuntu and ether WUBI install so you can use Windows too (assuming you have windows right now :) or just install Ubuntu as the only OS and try running your games through Wine after installing any proprietary drivers :)

  17. newkie2008 says:

i was considering to change mi OS but almost every hardware i have dont work with it, also my games dont run on it

anyway i hope somebody can make a better version soon

  21. devo85x says:

SUSE never gave me problem… :)

  22. iwantcoolname says:

fyi, just bought a netbook running on suse. day 1, connecting to wifi ok, connecting to secure wifi… oops! googling, known problem, updated drivers are windows only. day 2, plugged headphones in, speakers mute, unplugged headphones, speakers STILL mute. wtf? googling, known problem, updated drivers no longer support my kernel version. ok, you know what – fuck linux. I’m waiting win7 to wipe that shit off my netbook and instal real os.

  23. devo85x says:

the only reason I ever use Windows over Ubuntu is because I mainly use my PC for gaming :) but for things like schoolwork, its always Ubuntu (I hate having to explain that to my teachers though… :(

  24. yofootball127 says:

microsoft is lying. i use ubuntu and i will never choose windows over linux

  25. devo85x says:

Thanks :) I’ll try that next time I log into ubuntu :) , I new there was a solution, but I haven’t had time to troubleshoot :(
