    @rico4u2day2 ok, so im not saying this to be an asshole or anything, but it just made me laugh. please dont take it the wrong way and appreciate the humor =)

    saying Tux (the Linux Penguin) was kinda unnecessary. im pretty sure that ANYBODY who would come to watch this video and then be interested enough to read the comments MUST know who Tux is!

  2. rico4u2day2 says:

    What happened to Tux (Linux Penguin)?

    I decided to move from freeBSD to Gentoo, it feels more up-to-date for me.
    A linux system with BSD ports(named portage), big deal.

  4. bendibell says:

    I did not mean the time that linux has existed, but linux has gotten more attention than FreeBSD.

  5. IMMUNKNYC says:

    BSD was first do your home work

  6. bendibell says:

    FreeBSD depends on Linux. Linux does not really depend on FreeBSD. There would be some real sadness if FreeBSD died, but there would be much more for Linux. I say this not out of malicia, but because Linux has gotten much more exposure. I will be honest, I prefer Linux. FreeBSD is true UNIX, so they got one there, but then Linux has a more modern feel…

    Windows is not just any shit, it’s the 90-year-old hobo with stomach flu’s shit.

    Solaris user? Your system is not that bad, but it gave me tons of hardware issues, and was just enough like linux as well as different from linux that it drove me insane. I talso gave me hardware issues. Probably not Solaris’ fault, but it still made it useless to me. I was pleased to find GNOME installed though. EXT2/3/4 is good enough for me. In fact, one of the reasons I hate windows is because of FAT16/FAT32/NTFS. Defragging is SO yesterday!

  9. RenegadeFury says:

    Eh, Linux doesn’t support zfs natively.

  10. bendibell says:

    I prefer Linux hands down. FreeBSD just feels outdated. It’s not a bad OS, just not as good as linux. If linux disappeared, I would probably go to FreeBSD.

    This may still not be what you are looking for but you can also google live twit. You can view a live stream while they are recording and recorded stuff when their not.

    Chris Pirillo also does a live stream but it’s less structured.

  13. nextstep333 says:

    what i was probably talking about is live a tv show where i can stream video like TechTV

  14. DigitalFreedoms says:

    Google Revision3 or Twit. They are both good online networks of content from many of the guys that once worked for TechTV.

  15. Snuskigaste says:

    Please, give me a REASON. Instead just follow others.

  16. nextstep333 says:

    any good alternatives to TechTV?

  17. nextstep333 says:

    BSD is good!

  18. p95humbucker says:

    They both have there applied application.. AIX, HP-UX, Solaris, Linux, FreeBSD all have their place and use. They all scale up/out amazingly, are super stable, secure, etc…

    Truthfully
    Linux/*nix = Best
    Windows = Shit

  19. GBLTeam says:

    FreeBSD = shit
    Linux = best

  20. J05hyyy says:

    yeah, there both good, no hate between em

  22. longspear584 says:

    7.2 has flash support in firefox 3.0. wireless is getting better, but not ideal.

  23. Nezlox says:

    Same here, They helped a lot more people than G4 did. We need more type of shows like this.

  24. Sorcerer8605 says:

    I miss ZDTV and TechTV. Both were SO much better than G4. Leo was great. :-)

  25. tranmere789 says:

    I think i try FreeBSD/PcBSD. However BSD lacks wireless and flash. I dunno have they solved these problems. Then there are device support problems for BSD. Or aren’t there.
